Calcium carbonate CARB® (crystalline) – chemical reagent used in oil and gas industry for the production of drilling muds.

Calcium carbonate is used in recipes as plugging. Plugging is effective to create an impermeable filtercake insulating open pore space in the wellbore, thereby providing protection from dirt productive intervals during pumping various types of technological solutions and fluids during drilling, and from damage when used in technological solutions and fluids while drilling and from damage when used in process fluids for dissection, jam, conserve, and in drilling fluids for drilling horizontal wells.
